About Hickory Horse Hut Opened in September 2002, Hickory Horse Hut is Hickory’s only tack shop. Lisa Viesca, sole proprietor, relocated to Hickory, North Carolina in 1999 from southern California. Being a lover of horses and owner of two beautiful horses, she saw the need for a local tack shop and brought her vision to fruition. Come shop in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere offering a large selection of grooming and first aid supplies, halters and lead ropes (both nylon and leather), gifts for all horses and horse lovers, helmets (schooling and show), paddock and tall boots, shoes, English tack, English riding clothing, horse blankets, and more. Some of the brands we feature are: Ariat, Pessoa, Henri De Rivel (HDR), TuffRider, Troxel, Toklat, Valhoma, Tory Leather, Finishing Touch, Leather Therapy, Farnam, Absorbine and artwork and art pieces from local artists.
